Elsa Thomasma-Alingasa is a dedicated volunteer and a real-life hero from Sturgis, Michigan. She studied and received her Bachelor's degree of Psychology and Sociology at Grand Valley State University. Her philanthropic adventure started by volunteering and working with children at a young age. In 2009, her international career started when she volunteered in the Philippines. This opened her eyes to a world with a different culture filled by endless needs and possibilities, and eventually led to her joining the GAPLabs team.
Currently, Elsa spends her time at the office promoting meaningful travel opportunities by improving GoAbroad.com's SEO and content marketing efforts as SEM & Content Executive at GAPLabs. She also continues to assist nonprofits around the world through her role as Director of GoAbroad.com's charitable wing, the GoAbroad Foundation.
